AOKO Group was born from a strong engineering heritage rooted in advanced control system research and early technology partnerships. During the 1990s, the founding team deepened expertise in motor drive and control technologies through key research projects. In 1998, Changsha ATA Automation Co,. Ltd. was formally established to translate lab-based innovations into industrial-grade products, launching the company’s first low-voltage soft starters for steel, metallurgy, and power sectors. By 2000, ATA Automation had achieved ISO 9001 certification, laying a solid foundation for scalable growth.
The early 2000s marked a period of rapid expansion and dual-track development. In 2003, ATA Automation introduced medium voltage soft starters, filling a domestic gap in high-power soft start technology. Building on this success, the group launched its machinery division in 2004 with the establishment of ATA Machinery. Over the following years, the automation division secured CE certifications, enabling entry into overseas markets, while the machinery division’s folding machines gained rapid traction, including a key partnership with Heidelberg that opened doors to global customers.
From 2008 onward, AOKO Group solidified its position through self-developed products in both the automation and machinery sectors. The automation division completed the industry’s first medium-voltage soft starter test platform and mastered core technologies such as series voltage equalization and medium/low voltage isolation. The machinery business became China’s top-ranked folding machine brand by market share, contributing to national industry standards and securing financing to build the Xinshao sheet metal production base. This period established AOKO as a dual-sector industrial powerhouse with proven domestic and international credibility.

We will deepen our presence in high-growth industrial markets across Southeast Asia, the Middle East, Central Asia, Eastern Europe, Latin America and Africa, where demand for our reliable soft starters and VFDs is strong in mining, oil & gas, chemical processing, and power infrastructure. For our printing machinery division, we will focus on key manufacturing hubs in South Asia, Central Asia and Africa, supported by local partnerships and distribution networks. Across all regions, we will invest in regional service hubs, global certifications, and customer-centric support to ensure fast response times, build long-term trust, and deliver integrated, tailored solutions to drive mutual growth.
